SABSA explained: ISSA-NL Chapter meeting on 25th September, 2014


'All you wanted to know about SABSA & were afraid to ask.'

The next ISSA-NL chapter meeting is to be hosted by i-to-i at De Boerderij in Driebergen starting at 18:30 on Thursday 25th September.  The speaker is Pascal de Koning.

Event overview:

  1. SABSA contents overview. What is it, what are the key concepts?
  2. Enterprise Security Architecture in relation to Enterprise Architecture. How do SABSA and TOGAF integrate? What is the status of the TOGAF Next project, which is integrating security into the Next version of TOGAF? What is The Open Group's latest security project, the development of a Security Services Catalogue, and how can I become involved?
  3. SABSA in practice. How is it commonly applied in the field? What deliverables are useful? How do I know if and what part of SABSA is useful in a specific environment? Practical case studies.


Pascal de Koning MSc CISSP SCF is a Senior Security Consultant with i-to-i. He is co-chair of The Open Group TOGAF-SABSA integration work and has worked on information security projects for the Dutch central government, European Union and KPN, to name just a few. Pascal is a frequent speaker at conferences on the topics of Cyber Security and Enterprise Security Architecture. When not working, Pascal loves to invent solar collectors.
